One of the most rewarding experiences in the music industry is meeting and getting to know others with the same passion for music, singing, and making audiences happy.
Earlier this year, Vance and a group of friends decided they would do a show together in Giddings, TX, an Opry called "Country Music Monday." The group decided they would do some individual songs, some duets and some songs that the whole group would do together.
So well received was the show, and so much fun was had by all, that the next morning at breakfast, the group name "North Texas Allstars" was born. In all the excitement, it wasn't realized that the name made them sound like a sports team!
So, a few weeks later the whole group got back together and renamed themselves, "Southern Rains" and have been performing shows since April 2007. The combined experience of (PHOTO RIGHT l to r:) James Gregory, Vicki Gatling, Vance Harsch, Brandy Miller, and comedian Bill (Bubba) Goodman makes the Southern Rains show a sure delight no matter the venue. Add to that Soundman, Cliff Walker, and Photographer, Kim Walker, along with their layout, design, and web services (Walker Design Works), and Southern Rains packs real value and unsurpassed entertainment value!
